Carnegie Hall, Ingersoll – Lacey & Reed Wedding

December 14, 2021

With over 100 years of history, Carnegie Hall in Ingersoll, Ontario is an amalgamation of beauty, elegance and tradition. Set in the heart of Oxford County, this breathtaking venue sets the scene for a memorable and romantic event. Like stepping into a fairytale, we were delighted to hear that Lacey and Reed had selected Carnegie Hall for their big day.

For us there’s no bigger compliment than a referral; we are delighted when new client’s reach out after hearing wonderful things from previous clients. That’s how we were connected with Lacey and Reed (thanks Katie and Stefan!). Prior to the wedding day, we had a chance to get to know the happy couple as we spent a late afternoon together on an Ontario beach that whisked us far away. Can you believe these images were shot in our own backyard!?

Getting Ready & First Look

The big day was set for a Saturday near the end of September. The weather was on the cooler end for September and while rain was forecasted, the happy couple only saw it as a touch of good luck. Lacey had rented an AirBnB in Ingersoll named ‘The Melrose’ (see the listing here) which provided a charming and luxurious backdrop for Lacey to get ready with her family and bridesmaids. With many loving hands to prepare the blushing bride, the atmosphere was abuzz with excitement and love. Once Lacey was ready, Reed came over for a sweet first look. Reed was positioned on the front balcony and Lacey made her entrance for a tearful and heartfelt first look. (If you’re thinking about a ‘first look’ for your wedding read our post on it here!).

Carnegie Hall Ceremony

With rain gently falling outdoors, guests and groomsmen alike patiently waited for the arrival of the beautiful bride. A harpist played brilliantly in the background, their young flower girl dropped her petals down the aisle. Finally, Lacey arrived on her father’s arm. A delightful and quaint ceremony that had guests in tears as Lacey and Reed exchanged vows and rings. The bride and groom also participated in a Unity Sand Ceremony. Sand from two vessels was poured into one, celebrating the joining and the creation of a new union and family.

Finally, they sealed the deal with a big kiss! And it was time for pictures and the party!

Pictures & Reception

Luckily, the rain cleared just in time for pictures and we travelled to a few locations that did not disappoint. We spent a few hours with the newlyweds and their bridal party, capturing gorgeous shots. Eventually, we made our way back to the reception and the party.

Carnegie Hall was beautiful, decorated to the nines, for an intimate and gorgeous party! We were pleasantly surprised that the reception featured a circus show to delight the guests. Lacey is a professional dancer and a high wire trainer and it was a personal touch everyone enjoyed. With an impressive first dance, the party was delightful.

We were thrilled to be a part of Lacey and Reed’s big day at Carnegie Hall! If you’re on the hunt for a wedding photography team, look no further. Take a look at our portfolio and contact us today!
